As calving season starts, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on what is happening at Oakley Veterinary Service.   Dr. Jacey is working full time and will do her best to cover all your calving needs.   Dr. Dave Rethorst will also continue to come out to Oakley as much as he possibly can.   Please do not hesitate to call and let us know what you need.

Dr. Dave is helping us with the VFD’s.   Please let us know when you are needing either a new Veterinary Feed Directive or a renewal.

We also wanted to let you know that although there has been and will be pricing increases on our inventory items, our treatment charges will remain the same during this calving season.  One pricing increase we would like you to be aware of is the rendering fee from DarPro (the rendering company).  They have increased their pick-up charge to $50.00 for cattle over 30 months old; the pick-up charge for a calf is $15.00.

Ivomec Plus injectable is still on backorder and we do have the generic ivermectin.  Ivomec Pour On is going to be in short supply, possibly for the entire year.  We will do our best to keep a supply of 5 Liter Ivomec on hand.  Micotil is on backorder and we hope it will be available in March.   Starting next week, we will have Ralgro implants once again on our shelves.
